The main objectives of ASA are :
An ASA Congress is held biennially and it is hosted by one of its member associations on a rotation basis according to seniority of their membership in ASA.
Singapore (SAAP) hosted the 3rd ASA Congress in 1978 and the 16th ASA Congress in 2004.

The 26th ASA Congress was hosted by the Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries (SLAAPS) from 25 to 29 April 2025. Held at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo, the event embraced the theme Empowering Diversity Beyond Borders.
Over 300 administrative professionals across the region attended for a dynamic mix of learning, networking, and cultural exchange. A seven-member delegation from SAAP arrived in Colombo on April 24. Warmly welcomed by SLAAPS, the group quickly settled into the congress atmosphere.
The Congress featured renowned leaders who shared their expertise on innovation, leadership and diversity, providing all delegates with actionable insights to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape.

The 26th ASA Congress was a truly enriching experience, filled with insight, inspiration, and international camaraderie. SAAP’s participation underscored the growing influence of administrative professionals as strategic leaders and cultural ambassadors. As the ASA flag passes to Brunei, the spirit of empowerment and diversity continues to unite us across borders.
